Content Ratings

No Romance
There is no romantic content in this installment; relationships remain in the context of friendship and family connection.
Mild Themes
Themes include the psychological effects of depression-like despair induced by dementors, grief over lost parents and betrayed friendship, and the injustice of imprisonment without trial.
Mild Violence
A werewolf transformation, a dementor attack, and a climactic confrontation involving a dangerous prisoner and multiple fantastical threats create genuine tension; violence is present but framed appropriately for the age.
Synopsis

In his third year at Hogwarts, Harry learns that a dangerous prisoner named Sirius Black has escaped from the wizarding world's most terrifying prison and may be coming after him. As the truth about Sirius, Harry's parents, and a long-buried betrayal slowly unravels, Harry must also contend with creatures that feed on despair. A more emotionally layered entry in the series that begins to explore themes of injustice and grief.
