Content Ratings

No Romance
There is no romantic content; Roz's relationships are based on her bond with the gosling and her place in the animal community.
Mild Themes
Roz is alone and must learn to survive without programming or purpose; her adoption of the gosling and eventual acceptance by the animals create emotional depth; themes of belonging, parenting, and the intersection of technology and nature are central; the tone is ultimately hopeful.
Mild Violence
Animals hunt and are hunted as part of the natural cycle; Roz is attacked by a bear and must defend herself; violence is realistic within the natural world but handled with care.
Synopsis

When a robot named Roz washes ashore on a remote island, she must learn to survive in the wilderness by observing and adapting to the animals around her, eventually adopting and raising an orphaned gosling. A beautiful, thought-provoking story about belonging, nature, and what it means to be alive. The first in a beloved trilogy.
